About the Artist

Jennifer Coghill is a Toronto (T’Karonto) mixed-media fiber and textile artist and a graduate of the Ontario College of Art (AOCA) in graphic design. As an artist, she is drawn to the beauty of impermanence and the quiet poetry of everyday materials. Using textile techniques, and drawing on domestic quilt traditions, she often works with unexpected waste materials as her substrates. Coghill's practice is primarily about transformation: of material, of meaning, and of perception.
