In the heart of the city lies Toronto’s Leslie Street Spit, a finger of land that juts into Lake Ontario, surrounded by water and sky. Built with construction rubble, over time nature has reclaimed it, creating a vibrant landscape, filled in summer with joyful meadows of bright wildflowers.
